Oh, lovely! I think that Evelyn is one of 24's most underrated characters this season, for reasons you sum up in the first paragraph. 'She had never wanted to be a spy...', but she was forced into it. Your characterization was fantastic and I love some of the little things you included, like the fact that Charles drinks almost as much as his wife and his reaction to learning that she might hurt herself. Very impressive!

Thank you! I agree, about Evelyn being underrated - she was pretty integral to everything, and there are a lot of unanswered questions about how she got there.

That was great! Nice use of present tense. Averita already said it, but your characterization is spot-on. I was surprised at the end when Evelyn ended up feeling cheerful, but it fit, and it gave her a little more depth. She is really an ordinary person stuck in an extraordinary situation.

Thank you! Her ordinary-ness makes her really interesting to write - and poor Evelyn, she might be happy where the story ends, but you know she's going to freak out when she realizes Palmer's been shot.
